So, Rachel just told Psyche that “You’re not my type and you’re too poor to marry, but you’ll do until a better deal comes along.” I understand Rachel has limited options, but I’m losing sympathy for her if this is how she treats Psyche.
I don’t really think she means to diss Psyche, they both know that whatever suitor Rachel winds up with (if she does) is a marriage of political and social nature, and not of an emotional commitment.
