Uh … anybody figure out what that lady was? House resident? Thought Ascians didn’t use cameras so much … uh, anyway, plot point to be explained later or just odd “Ascian women are still kooky several pages on” moment?
I have no idea. Same thing happened during Rachel’s party. Weird.
Now, are the photographers actually Ascian? Their clothing looks tribal, at least. Do other Ascians look at the residents of the house like a tourist attraction? Or are the photographers in disguise? And how do they get in through house security?
Also weird that Jaeger and Jack just go right back to their conversation.
OMG it’s Munkyland! Cameras and fake Ascian clothes – They’ve teamed up with the blurs like the frogs and deros in BPRD and they’re BAAACK! Or not, but you’re right – it’s somebody with the kind of “better machines” that the Blur used on Jack at the buffet party – and they’re infesting the house unopposed! Or else the two events are unconnected, the guy with his kid was just an asshole tourist and the woman in the basement is just some member of the tribe doing something odd which the menfolk are used to for some yet-to-be disclosed reason. But I do like the idea of an undetected munkyland infestation. Chilling.
That is the second time it’s happened on-camera, comicwise. Perhaps it happens all the time. My theory is that she’s some sort of tourist. Perhaps with a Somebody Elses Business field around her? Any bright pink restaurants landed? She’s wearing camoflage, sure, but I don’t think she’s one of them. Perhaps I’m wrong.
